1. Abedati

A village is located on the right bank of river Abasha, on lowland Odishi, in district Martvili. Over the village on a mountain range there are architectural monuments: a fortress and a church. The oldest layer of the fortress belongs to early feudal period. Presumably the existence of fortress is connected to antique caravan route, trace of which is noticeable today. This is an ancient city Onogurisi mentioned by 6th century Byzantine historian Agathia Scholastikos.

The church situated into the fortress can be dated to 9thcentury. Abedati Church is a medium-sized hall type building. From outside it is rectangle, walls are built with medium sized slightly worked stones. Building material is whitish limestone. The church must be that sacred place where members of family name Gagua were going for praying
