Gagua Revaz , father’s name Oliphante(was born on 02.01.1945, Poti city) was surgeon-oncologist, the doctor of medical sciences, member of medical science academy, the head of cancer scientific center. He graduated from the State Medical University of Tbilisi, faculty of medical treatment (1969).  He was a surgeon of the Poti city hospital (1969-1970), attending physician of Moscow clinical and experimental institute of surgery (1970-1972), post-graduate of Moscow first medical institute (1972-1975), boffin of experimental and clinical surgery of Tbilisi (1975-1979), the head of department of thoracal oncology of the oncology medical center, since 1989 he had been working as a deputy chief of the same institute in the medical field.  He defended Ph.D dissertation in 1975 and doctoral dissertation in 1991. He is the author of more than 150 scientific works. He is a holder of 7 inventions with the owner’s rights, a laureate of the prize named after Prof. Gvamichaia, an owner of an honour medal,  a member of New-York academy, a member of Georgian surgeons and oncologists scientific society, surgeon’s international association, also  international collegiums surgeons. Since 1989 he had been the main oncologist of the Ministry of Health.
